Neowiz has today announced that Brown Dust, its popular turn-based strategy game, is soon set to be rebranded. On March 5th, Brown Dust will become Brave Nine, a name said to symbolise the game's character-based strategy mechanics.

Brave Nine will boast the same basic gameplay content as Brown Dust, meaning all you'll have to do is update the app to check out its snazzy rebranding. New or returning players will of course have to search the new name in their store of choice.

"Over the past year, we've watched as fans around the world have embraced the game's unique, nine hero battle formations," said Sean Kim, Game Director on Brave Nine. "Now, the name Brave Nine embodies what our game is all about – nine brave fighters taking to the battlefield in a fight to save their friends and the world."

Brown Dust first launched for iOS and Android back in March of 2019. Since then, it's received a great many updates that over time added hundreds of hours of content to the already sizable core game. It blends story-focused missions and layered strategy combat within an anime-inspired setting.

There are over 300 characters to add to your roster, and it's imperative that you spend some time balancing your party to tackle any combat situation that may arise.

For long-time fans, March 5th will also mark the arrival of some fresh content. January's companions included the powerful Aisha, Catsy, Melodia, and Lorencia, while this month's included Lyudmila, Crohina, and Yevna.

It's clear to see that Brave Nine continues to be quite popular among fans both new and old, with the Android version currently boasting an impressive 4.5 stars.

If you'd like to check it out before the rebrand comes into effect, you'll find Brown Dust (soon to be Brave Nine) available for download now as a free-to-play title from both the App Store and Google Play.
