Bobby Carrot hops, skips and jumps onto iPhone

German mobile games firm FDG Entertainment has announced that it's bringing its famous Bobby Carrot franchise to iPhone.

Apple's handset is getting a port of the latest mobile version, Bobby Carrot 5: Forever. The game will have better visuals and animation, a reworked soundtrack, and presumably touchscreen controls.

Oh, and a "very special surprise" at the end of the game. Nice. The game is due out in early November on the App Store.

Meanwhile, FDG has also announced that the five mobile Bobby Carrot games have sold more than a million units in total. That's a lot of carrot-chomping players.

On mobile, Bobby Carrot 5 debuted an innovative extra content model, with FDG releasing 30 new downloadable levels every month, with a tie-in website offering artwork, soundtracks and other goodies.

The company hasn't said if this approach will translate to iPhone too, though.
