Blitz Brigade is Gameloft's mobile answer to Team Fortress 2. More importantly, it's now available on the French App Store.

Over the years, the Parisian developer has built itself a reputation for creating franchises, say, 'inspired' by hit PC and console games, such as its Call of Duty-style Modern Combat series.

In Blitz Brigade's case, Gameloft has attempted to capture the colourful multiplayer shenanigans of Valve's free-to-play masterpiece Team Fortress 2 in an iOS and Android game.

Though Blitz Brigade is only downloadable in France at the moment, Gameloft has taken this opportunity to tease the rest of the iOS (and the entire 'droid) world with the F2P shooter's first proper gameplay trailer.

As we suspected, you will charge around a variety of maps in Blitz Brigade, using pistols, machine guns, rocket launchers, and spades to blast and bludgeon your blue or red enemy to death.

Your team will feature a combination of the game's five character classes: soldier, gunner, doctor, sniper, and stealth agent.

What's more, you'll be able to commandeer several vehicles during your fierce online deathmatches, including jeeps, helicopters, and tanks.

Though we don't have a solid global release date for Blitz Brigade, Gameloft does note that it is "coming soon" for iPhone, iPad, and Android.
