Beershooter game gives iPhone owners a boozy treat

HandyGames has released its Beershooter game in an all-new version for iPhone and iPod touch - just in time for the beer-drinking season in its native Germany.

Or as they put it in the App Store blurb: "Bavarian cosiness, pumping beer mugs and making party in the beer tent is a must? Lederhosen and Dirndls are a feast for your eyes? AND you are looking for the perfect Casual Game?"

Indeed. The game hands you a great big beer gun, which you use to hose a beer-garden full of boozy customers, aiming it into their open mouths rather than serving it in mugs.

It promises a Bavarian music soundtrack, and a choice of local and international high-score tables to compare your performance with other players.
