Balance of the Shaolin has you jumping over eagles and lava in its intense tests of concentration

There's a video on YouTube of a shaolin monk balancing on just two fingers. I can barely watch it - how do his fingers not break?

It's these kinds of incredible balancing acts performed by shaolin monks that has informed Balance of the Shaolin.

In this iOS game, you attempt to keep a shaolin monk from falling from various treacherous positions around the world. You do this by tapping the left and right of the screen, and tapping both sides to jump.

Each level lasts just 30 seconds, but it's an intense test of your concentration and reactions.

Balance of the Shaolin

Atop a rock in the sea you jump over an eagle while the wind pushes you around. A guy tries to slash you with a sword while stood on a roof. In a cave you have to jump over frothing lava while the whole thing shakes viciously.

You'll unlock these levels by beating the easier previous ones. It starts off fairly simply but you'll soon reach a road block.

Even if you do complete every level, the Endless Remix mode will ensure you're always challenged afterwards.

Balance of the Shaolin is available to download for free on the App Store. You can unlock the full version through the £1.49 / $1.99 IAP.
