New start up Frogmind Games has announced that development is underway for its first game, Badland.

The side-scrolling adventure title looks atmospheric in an artistic, indie sort of way.

Veteran game designers Johannes Vuorinen and Juhana Myllys are the two Finns behind Frogmind Games and come from RedLynx where they contributed to the design of Trials Evolution and MotoHeroz.

Steampunk rabbits?

Although there is not a lot of information posted about Badland at the moment, the website for the game is purported to capture the sepia-toned atmosphere of the game perfectly and can give you a good idea of what to expect from the game's aesthetic

Vuorinen and Myllys aim to create an 'exceptionally atmospheric' and 'addicting' game with Badland, and from the one teaser image posted on their site – which is created using in-game assests – they look to be well on their way.

We will keep you updated with news on Badland as it becomes available.
