Admittedly, the cut-scenes were mega-tedious in the console versions of
Assassin's Creed, but otherwise this was a damnably spiffing game packed with tension, spills and thrills.
So we're very excited to hear that a one off iPhone special of Japan's premier gaming magazine,
Famitsu, has uncovered details of
Assassin's Creed leaping its way onto Apple's handheld platform.
By all accounts we can expect very similar free-running gameplay across the ancient cities. The iPhone
Assassin's Creed conversion will be brought to us by Gameloft, which recently announced its working on the
Terminator Salvation adaptation, so it's set to be a big iPhoning year for the French developer.
It's interesting to hear that Gameloft, of all mobile developers, will be working on
Assassin's Creed. The original game's developer Ubisoft is of course run by founder Yves Guillemot - brother of Gameloft founder Michel Guillemot. It seems we have our very own brotherhood operating behind the veiled curtains of the
Assassin's Creed.
The conspiracy thickens...
