Thanks to the latest iOS update, you've now got a huge new roster of emojies to keep you going through the long (or short) winter nights.

In the process of making the emoji world a little more diverse, you'll now have options for more gender-neutral and skin colour-specific icons. For those who love new animal, food, activities, or winter emojis, you'll be properly sorted.

There's also an awesome new emoji (not to be confused with the 'horns' symbol) which means 'I love you' in American sign language.

Aside from the cascade of new things to send to friends to either put your point across, be adorable, or - if you're like me - seriously confuse them, Apple has also included a patch for the Krack WiFi hack vulnerability.

Another minor update includes the re-emergence of pressing down on the left-hand side of the screen and using 3D Touch to open the app switcher. Plus your general bug fixes and tweaks.
