Apple event confirmed for September 1st
New iPod touch likely to be on the agenda
Contradicting rumours earlier today of an Apple event on the 7th of September, Apple has just sent out invitations for an event on the 1st.
Details are sparse. In fact, there are none, except for a rather natty picture of a guitar with a sound hole in the shape on an Apple, which would seem to indicate that a music-playing device will figure heavily.
Two are likely to be featured: the latest iPod nano, and the latest iPod touch, which is rumoured to have a Retina display and camera.
The event takes place in California at 10am, and it's getting broadcast live to The Brewery in London, among other places.
