Apple has doubled the maximum app size for iOS games - Disney Infinity is almost 4GB

Games on iOS are about to get bigger than ever, as Apple has officially doubled the maximum size of iPhone and iPad apps, from 2GB to 4GB.
"The size limit of an app package submitted through iTunes Connect has increased from 2 GB to 4 GB, so you can include more media in your submission and provide a more complete, rich user experience upon installation," says Apple.
As Twitter user fronkhead points out, Disney had already gone above the 2GB limit back in January for Disney Infinity 2.0, which was a 3.8GB download.
Good news for game makers, then. Bad news for 16GB iPad owners. "Please keep in mind that this change does not affect the cellular network delivery size limit of 100MB," says Apple.
