The App Store has a featured section of the front page for promoting premium games, free of microtransactions.

Called "Pay Once & Play," the section collects what it refers to as "great games with no in-app purchases."

Games such as 80 Days, Bastion, Threes, Blek, and Thomas Was Alone are included in the line-up.

As most of us know, "free to play" doesn't often mean what it should.

A game could be free to download, but require several in-app purchases to access certain items, areas, or even play time.

Apple has tried to confront some of the confusion surrounding these freemium games in the past.

A few months ago, it changed the download button on free to play games from one that said "Free" to one that simply stated "Get."

The "free" label was misleading to some.

There's nothing misleading about this new featured section of games, though.

If you're looking for something you only need to pay once to enjoy, check out the App Store's front page now.
