Apocalyptos hits the App Store

Human sacrifice in real life is generally frowned upon these days. Many years ago, however, it was positively compulsory in certain circles. Apocalyptos takes players back to that halcyon age of Mayan religious slaughter.

We'd like to say it's not as horrible as that in practice, but from the press release it seems it is. Apocalyptos is a collection of casual mini-games in which you apparently collect human heads.

Included are 40 stages, three levels of difficulty, online score tables, achievements, and the usual offering of Facebook and Twitter integration via OpenFeint.

Let’s just hope the app hasn’t sacrificed features for gameplay.

Apocalyptos is out now on the App Store for £0.59/$0.99.
