Ancient devices not welcome

There was a whole new level of excitement yesterday as Animal Crossing's first mobile title, Pocket Camp, was announced and soft launched - but what can you play it on exactly?

Late yesterday, an FAQ was published on the official North American game site which covered a few points, including the type of game it is, what its cost is, and your required age.

In terms of compatibility both iOS and Android devices are supported, but more specifically:

iOS - "iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad devices running iOS 9.0 or newer. Note: This does not include iPhone 4S/5/5c, iPad 2/3rd Generation/4th Generation/mini, and iPod Touch 5th Generation."

Android - "Android OS 4.2 or newer. Note: Some devices may not be supported."

It runs perfectly well, if mildly slowly, on an iPad Air so you're best aiming for a device that age and up for iOS at least.
