How to download Animal Crossing Pocket Camp for iPhone or iPad right now

So Animal Crossing Pocket Camp is out in Australia. But what if you're not in Australia? Well don't you worry, we're here to help.

All you're going to need to do it is your iOS device, a little bit of cunning, and about five minutes. Tell you what, I'll walk you through it all step by step, since I'm good like that.

First up, you'll need to sign out of the App Store account for the country you're in. Do that by tapping your profile picture in the top right corner of the App Store app and then scrolling down and tapping sign out.

Next you'll want to start a new account. Tap on the button that says "Create New Apple ID".

You'll see a screen that looks something like this. Tap on where it says the country you're based in.

Scroll down the list to Australia, then tap on that. Next comes the sneaky bit.

Rather than continuing with the sign in process, now you want to tap Cancel. This takes you back to the App Store, but now you're on the Australian App Store. Oh you're cunning.

Now search for Nintendo in the search bar.

Scroll down the page and you'll see a link to Nintendo's developer page. Tap on that.

You should see Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp looking all cheery and sweet at the top of the page. Now tap on Get.

You'll get this pop-up. You want to tap Create New Apple ID.

Type in an email address (it needs to be one that actually exists because you're going to need to click on a confirmation email).

Add a password and make sure that your country is still set to Australia. Now tap Next.

Add in all the details on this page, then tap next again.

Now here's the other cunning bit. If you'd just tried to start a new account, you'd have had to put in some credit card details, and I doubt you've got an Australian credit card to hand. Instead, tap where it says None.

You are going to have to add an address, so there's a bit more sneaking to do. Use Google Maps to find a business in Australia.

For some reason when we're doing this we always try to find bakerys. No, I don't know why either. Add in the relevant information then hit that Next button.

Once you've done that you'll get sent a confirmation email to the address that you entered. Click on it. Bosh, you've got yourself an Australian App Store account, you l33t hacker you.

You should be able to download the game now. It's possible you'll need to confirm the account and then sign in again, but you'll soon be the proud owner of Animal Crossing Pocket Camp.

If you want to download other apps, just use the same process but cut out the bit where you downloaded Animal Crossing and get something else.
