Rovio has confirmed on the Angry Birds Facebook page that multiplayer racing will be available in Angry Birds Go! in spring 2014.

Rovio released its F2P kart racing spin-off game earlier this week. We weren't altogether that impressed by it, to be honest. Still, maybe the multiplayer option will be its saviour. Hmm.

Despite our reservations about Angry Birds Go!, there are plenty of folks playing it on iOS, Android, BlackBerry 10, and Windows Phone, so it shouldn't be a problem finding people to race against in the game's upcoming multiplayer mode.

In our review of Rovio's new racer, we said: "A hollow experience that could be so much better, Angry Birds Go! never feels fair or fun."
