And the rest... E.T. The Social Game, Llamasoft on Android, and Hell Yeah! for Vita?

Today, we've seen Wild Blood finally hack 'n' slash its way over to Android, played a PETA protest game about abused Pokemon, looked lovingly at side-scroller Badland, and found an iOS game starring John Hurt.

No wonder we couldn't find time to write about these stories - the best of the rest, if you will.

New releases

Super Hexagon developer Terry Cavanagh has released his arty indie classic Don't Look Back on Android. It's an adaptation of the Greek legend of Orpheus and Eurydice, in platformer form, with a swish visual style. The game's free, and an iOS version is coming soon.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, Chillingo has gone ahead and released a free-to-play social game starring everyone's favourite wrinkled alien. E.T has to save a dying planet by creating enchanted gardens full of intergalactic plant life. Free on iOS.

You can now play iOS favourite Contre Jour in your web browser, thanks to a little help from the Internet Explorer team and some HTML5 wizardry. This also means that the game will be playable on some Android tablets and the forthcoming Windows Surface slates.

On the horizon

Reckon PSN and XBLA brawler Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit would work well on Vita? So does developer Arkedo Studio, calling it "the perfect pocket console" for the game in a recent tweet. Sadly, it's just not to be, on account of boring "business and contract issues". Lame.

Chalky skeleton platformer Dokuro will debut on PS Vita next week. US gamers will find this cute puzzle-filled adventure in the PlayStation Store on October 16th. So, look out for that, why don't you.

Llamasoft - veteran British games developer Jeff Minter's software house - has announced that most of its games will be heading to Android soon. Gridrunner, Super Ox Wars, Five A Day, Goatup, and Caverns of Minos will all hit Google Play in the near future.

Sales

Nutso BASE jumping simulator AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! (Force = Mass x Acceleration) is on sale today. In this game, you leap off rooftops, scrape past buildings, flip off protestors, and nail the landing. If that's all a bit too exciting for you, note that it does come with relaxation videos. This barmy iOS game is just 69p / 99c at the moment.
