Episodic mystery thriller on its way

1112 gorgeous interactive graphical adventure coming to iPhone

After the success of Secret Files: Tunguska on the Nintendo formats, it looks as though the graphical adventure game might be enjoying something of a comeback. 1112 is a new indie game for the iPhone that's currently going through Apple's submission mangle, but looks like a superb addition to this long forgotten genre.

1112 also appears to be adopting the cool new trend for episodic content, so we can expect lots more mysteries to follow in a similar vein.

Using the iPhone's intuitive touchscreen and advanced graphics handling, you can explore the beautiful scenery for items to investigate and characters to talk to, while using the multi-touch function to pinch and pull – zooming in and out to really pick up on the clues.

To keep the detail up when using this feature, all the environments have been drawn in 800x600 resolution, along with 3D objects you can hold and rotate – so we can expect some blisteringly realistic visuals as you can see from the screenshots.

The official website shows off the fantastic style 1112 promises to ooze from every pixel, and there's even an effigy of Johnny Depp to draw the ladies in.

By all accounts it's passed the submissions process and is now going through the last stages of legal wrangling before it finally hits the App Store. Hit 'Track It!' now to be sure you don't miss any more clues.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
