When
1112 was released on the iPhone last month it was like a (touchscreen activated) breath of fresh air. Ostensibly an adventure game, Agharta Studio's oddball masterpiece took delight in making you carry out a host of mundane tasks on behalf of chief protagonist Louis Everett.
Now developer Alexandre Leboucher has revealed that he has received a preliminary approach about porting the game to Nintendo's ever-popular Wii console. He feels that the controls would port well to the console's motion-sensitive remotes, but there is one major drawback.
The sticking point appears to relate to size - at present WiiWare titles are limited to just 42 megabytes of storage, which is about a third of the space the original iPhone game required.
So, not only is a game set to be ported from a fledgling handheld device to Nintendo's behemoth, but it'll actually have to be
downscaled in the process. What a world.
Still, if the developers can overcome that not insignificant hitch we could see it flying off the digital shelves.

I find it amusing quite how oddly capable the iphone is in some areas. The scope of have such storage on a device, allowing such intriguing ideas as Alternate Endings and Soul Trapper, is, well, great.
On another not-entirely-linked point, I wonder how long it'll be before a Zeemote-style peripheral is introduced..
