iPhone hack lets you dual boot into Android OS

Bill Murray needs to add something new to his Mass Hysteria list; Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together, Android OS running on the iPhone.

Clever hacker David Wong, best known for getting Linux to run on the iPhone, has now turned his attention to the Android OS and has released a video of the operating system running on a second generation iPhone.

The hack allows for dual booting, so when the phone turns on you can choose between Apple's standard operating system or the Android OS.

Once the secondary operating system has loaded, Wong shows off a pretty functional version of the Android OS.

It has full touchscreen support, can play music from the iPhone's storage memory, get wi-fi connection from Apple's antenna and browse the web.

It can even receive phone calls and text messages.

"There's a little bit of a button shortage on the iPhone," Wong says, so he uses the iPhone's homescreen button for the Android's menu button, and set up the volume control buttons for call and home.

Wong says its in an Alpha state right now, but you can go ahead and download the system image and documentation at his website if you're brave enough.
