iPhone 4S pops up on Vodafone.de and latest iTunes beta, appears to confirm dual-mode handset rumour
Evolution not revolution
Apple's highly anticipated iPhone press conference may be tomorrow, but we still don't know for sure whether we'll be seeing an iPhone 5 or an iPhone 4S.
The latter of two, though, has popped-up twice this week, perhaps making it the more likely of the two devices to be released.
Firstly, the iPhone 4S appeared in both black and white in the Bumper compatibility section of Vodafone's German website, in 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB models.
The mythical device is also referenced in the latest beta build of Apple's iTunes, alongside an image of the CDMA iPhone 4.
While this leans towards a new device with a similar design to the current model, it's entirely possible that the image is simply a placeholder until the 4S's release.
Who knows?Furthermore, iTunes only holds two references to the iPhone 4S, which are its black and white varieties.
This differs from the iPhone 4's black/GSM, black/CDMA, white/GSM, and white/CDMA references, which could confirm rumours of a dual-mode handset.
As always, until tomorrow rolls around all of the above is mere speculation. Tune in to Pocket Gamer tomorrow for a liveblog of Apple's event.
