German carrier Deutsche Telekom taking pre-orders for iPhone 5 on first-come, first-served basis
Are we nearly there yet?
It's a day that ends in "y", so there's only one thing for it: it's time for a new iPhone rumour.
Today, it's German carrier Deutsche Telekom in the spotlight, following news that it's started to hand out reservation coupons to customers wishing to pre-order the next-generation iPhone handset.
Officially, it's being done to help manage demand for the upcoming smartphone, but could Deutsche Telekom know something we don't?
Probably not, given it doesn't have (or isn't willing to share) a concrete name for the device, hardware spec, or a specific release date.
Still, the fact that one of Europe's largest telcos is aggressively gearing up for the launch of the iPhone 5 means Apple's official announcement can't be too far off now, eh.
