Apple's Siri no longer believes Nokia's Lumia 900 is the best smartphone ever
Apple patches the personal assistant
Last week, Android- and Windows Phone-loving punters had a good laugh at Apple's expense after it was revealed that the iPhone 4S's personal assistant Siri pointed towards Nokia's Lumia 900, not the iPhone 4S, when asked what the best smartphone ever is.
Siri was, of course, simply displaying results from "answer engine" Wolfram Alpha (one of the search services that powers Siri), which takes user reviews into account when ranking smartphones.
Anyway, Apple has quickly made some backend changes to the Siri service, so if you were to ask Siri to tell you the best smartphone ever now, it'll reply, "the one you're holding" or "you're kidding, right?" Who said Apple doesn't have a sense of humour?
Naturally, if you specifically ask Siri to display results from Wolfram Alpha, the Lumia 900 will still come out on top.
