Unless you've slept through the past couple of days, you'll already know that Apple has officially unveiled the latest entry in its iPhone line-up: the iPhone 4S.

This new smartphone comes packing the same dual-core A5 processor found in Apple's iPad 2, an upgraded 8-megapixel camera, 1080p video recording, and a personal assistant who calls herself Siri.

But, just how much will all of that Apple goodness set you back, UK citizens?

In black and white

Well, according to Apple's Apple Store iPhone app (a screenshot from which is posted below), the iPhone 4S will be available in both black and white, starting at £499 for the 16GB model.

The same phone with 32GB of storage will cost you an extra hundred at £599, while the 64GB model will reduce your bank balance by a whopping £699.

The iPhone 4S will ship with iOS 5, which introduces over 200 new features, including a hub for your magazine subscriptions, Notification Center, and some much-needed changes to Game Center.
