iPhone launch venue booked by Apple

iPhone 4G to be announced on 22nd June?

The iPad may only just have arrived on US shores, and we may not know when it will come to the UK, but rumours are already emerging about the announcement date for the next iteration of the iPhone due to some clever detective work by a forum goer.

According to reports from ModMyi it appears that the venue used for all three previous iPhone announcements, The Yerba Buena Center for Arts, has been booked by a company called ‘Apple’ for the 22nd of June.

This could mean that The Beatles’s music label and tech company is making a comeback, or that Steve Jobs has something to show everyone.

June is traditionally the month for iPhone announcements from the company, though, so I’d lean more towards the latter.

Information on the new phone is naturally thin on the ground with even its name being unconfirmed (remember what happened to iSlate?)

However there are quite a few rumours milling around the Internet, which you can read about here.
