While many developers are doing the right thing and properly porting their iPad games from iPhone, it's worth pointing out the reason why this is a good thing.

Thanks to screenshots from Digital Smoke's 10 Pin Shuffle, you can clearly see the difference between a version of a game that's been made twice as large automatically using Apple's inbuilt tech (what I'm calling up-rezed), and one where the artwork, and code, has been enhanced specifically for iPad (native).

Of course, aside from some letterboxing, this might not look like much within the boundaries of this relatively small webpage, but when you zoom in, it becomes very apparent.
