While just about everyone and their dog is planning iPad games, the lack of hardware to test on means that few people can be definite about their plans.

At GDC 2010 however, ngmoco Neil Young confirmed to Computerworld that the publisher, together with recent acquisition Freeverse, would be releasing "six or more games" during the launch period.

Actually it appears to be at least seven or more.

Going large

Confirmed titles include GodFinger and We Rule, ngmoco's new online freemium games which are currently being testing in Canada before going live worldwide.

Freeverse's hotly anticipated Warp Gate is also primed for launch.

It's a single player space combat and trading game, which has been in development since early 2009, and has the potential to be one of the standout early iPad titles thanks to its high-end graphics.

Young also mused about the likelihood of old ngmoco games such as Dropship coming to iPad, while Touch Arcade points out the Freeverse has its own online game, the World of Warcraft-esque CastleCraft on the way for iPad and iPhone.

It also says Freeverse classics Flick Fishing and NBA Hotshot will be remade for iPad.

Finally, talking to developer Graveck, Pocket Gamer found out its million-seller Skee-Ball (published by Freeverse) is getting an iPad version too.
