iPad 2 case with mock-up tablet spotted at CES 2011
Case closed?
Adding further fuel to the rumour that the second iteration of the iPad is imminent, Chinese manufacturer Dexim has been displaying its new case for the iPad at CES 2011 in Las Vegas.
Cases for the rumoured update to the Apple tablet have been seen before, but this one features a mock-up of the new iPad.
A reporter for tech site Engadget spotted the case and asked he could try it on his iPad, only to be told that it wouldn't fit as the case was designed for the new version. The case and mock-up indicate that the new iPad will be slimmer, feature a rear camera, and have a bigger speaker.
The manufacturers could be speculating, but the similarities in design and the fact that they have been willing to actually create cases indicates that they are fairly confident with the information that they have received.
