O2 and Vodafone announce their iPad 3G data plans
Range of options
Apple started taking pre-orders today for the iPad Wi-Fi and iPad 3G in the UK, and tariff prices for the 3G model have also gone on display.
Orange had already announced its iPad data plans - 1GB per week for £7.50, 3GB per month for £15, and 10GB per month for £25.00 - and now O2 and Vodafone have waded in with their price plans.
Breathe inO2 has both a per day and per month set-up available.
£2 a day will bag you 500MB limit each day, then there are the monthly options - £10 a month for 1GB, and £15 for 3GB.
All three options come with unlimited wi-fi at hotspots (although this is subject to a fair usage scheme).
It's worth noting that these data plans don't have a roll-over system. In other words, if you don't use the whole 500MB in a day, you won't be compensated for the remaining data.
No-dafoneVodafone's prices are rather steep in comparison. There's no daily rate as of yet, and the monthly price plans are more expensive than its competitors.
250MB will set you back a massive £10 a month, while the 5GB a month plan is £25 a month.
This means O2's 500MB per day for £2.00 is the cheapest day rate, while Orange's 10GB for £25 is the cheapest monthly rate, at least in terms of data for cash.
Details on all the tariffs can be found in the UK Apple Store.
