No news seems to be bad news when it comes to iPad.

And so it was that analyst rumours, the lack of news about pre-orders, or indeed the official launch date, combined into a story that Apple's manufacturing partner Foxconn was experiencing production problems which could see launch numbers reduced or even the launch itself pushed back.

Now however, sources have leaked that all is well, at least in the Taiwanese factory churning out the devices.

March production is said to be between 600,000 to 700,000 units, with 1 million per month expected from April.

Apple said it would launch the wi-fi enabled iPad model at the end of March and the more expensive 3G version at the end of April.

Depending on who you talk to, it's expected Apple could sell anything been two to 10 million iPads in 2010, which start at $499.
