Apple tablet officially revealed, christened the iPad
Oh. Right.
As I write Steve Jobs is doing what comes naturally to him: prowling around on a stage and earning rapturous applause for telling people things about his company's products.
Though the name of Apple's new tablet computer isn't exactly applause-worthy, it's good to finally know. It's called the iPad, which sounds a little bit like sanitary equipment, but does the job better than iSlate, which sounds like loneliness.
So far it looks very nice, with smooth scrolling, a reponsive keyboard, and excellent web-browsing and email functionality. No real surprises, though.
