iOS + Android + 3DS ...

Welcome to our weekly round-up of the best deals in pocket gaming. As ever, we've got some bargain picks for you that will be difficult to resist.

It works like this: each week we bring the best deals in handheld gaming, predominantly covering the latest discounts for iOS and Android gamers.

We also cover a few deals on smartphones themselves, as well as a selection of handheld offers. Basically if it's portable and cheap, we're looking out for it.

Smartphone deal of the week

The Moto E4 Plus is another of Motorola's / Lenovo's highly affordable, tidily put together smartphones. But perhaps its stand-out component is a whopping 5000mAh battery, which enables it to last for a full two days in between charges.

Handheld deals

We've got a couple of exciting pre-orders for you this week. Rayman Legend is a simply brilliant 2D platformer that's positively brimming with energy and glorious hand-drawn graphics. This is a good pre-order price for the forthcoming Switch edition, which could well be the perfect platform for the game.

Elsewhere we've got a charming-looking spinoff to the Monster Hunter series on 3DS - again available for an attractive pre-order price.
