iOS and Android Game of the Week - your vote needed
|

Each week, thousands of new games hit the iOS App Store and Google Play on Android. Trying to separate the wheat from the chaff is a tough job, and no mistake.

We like to think that we do a pretty good job of it with our news articles, mid-week round-ups, reviews, and features, mind.

But, we want to know what you think.

Every Thursday, we ask you to pick the best game that was released on iOS and Android that week (from some nominations), and then we'll present that winner in an article on Friday.

There are loads of places to vote. Leave a comment on this article, reply to our Game of the Week tweet, leave a comment on Facebook, or just whisper it into the wind.

The nominations
nyzombies NY Zombies 2 (iPhone, iPad) A gory first-person zombie blaster, set in the Big Apple. You and two pals can take on the zombie apocalypse in co-op, as you find weapons, upgrade skills, and fight for survival.
zombiewood Zombiewood (iPhone, iPad, Android) Another zombie game now, this time set on the West Coast of the US. It's a comedy top-down shooter, with ridiculous weapons and over-the-top carnage. Looks like fun.
totemrunner Totem Runner (iPhone, iPad) In this stylish endless-runner from Chillingo, you'll transform into different animals to overcome obstacles. The arty visual style is to die for.
punchquest Punch Quest (iPhone, iPad) RocketCat blends Jetpack Joyride with an old coin-op brawler here. The outcome is spectacular, and filled to the brim with hats.
heman He-Man: The Most Powerful Game in the Universe (iPhone, iPad) By the power of Grayskull! '80s cartoon hero He-Man has received his own game, and it's a punchy iOS brawler. But, does it live up to its ambitious subtitle?
pennyarcade Penny Arcade's On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 3 (iPhone, iPad, Android) The Penny Arcade RPG finally comes to mobile. It's an old skool RPG, written by the comic creators. Both The Lair of the Seamstress DLC and Fanfiction packs are built in.
letterpress Letterpress (iPhone, iPad) Tweetie creator Loren Brichter has been off the iOS scene for a while. He's back now, though, with an elegant little word game. It's fresh and unique. Have you played it yet?
shardlands Shardlands (iPhone, iPad) A puzzle adventure, with drop-dead gorgeous graphics. There are new puzzle ideas in every level, and it's completely suited to the touchscreen.
crossword Crossword Dungeon (iPhone) An inspired iPhone-only game, which turns a crossword puzzle into a dungeon-crawling RPG. You'll be figuring out the capital of Poland while wailing on rats and slimes.
clothier Pocket Clothier (iPhone) Kairosoft's latest mega-addictive simulator is finally available on iPhone. This time around, you preside over a posh clothes shop. You'll hire staff, keep customers happy, and fight for awards.
