You've pitched up on a mysterious desert island after your lifeboat capsizes. You're with a bunch of strangers, none of whom can be trusted. And there's monsters in them there hills.

Hurrah! Someone's done a Lost mobile game!

But no. Glu's new game is called Stranded, so presumably any resemblance to popular island-based mystery shows is entirely co-incidental. There's no fat bloke, and none of the castaways has a background in a rubbish fictitious Britpop band. Phew.

The game involves wandering around the island solving a series of puzzles, and running errands for your fellow castaways to figure out what the bleeding hell is going on.

The game also features a 24-hour clock that partly governs when new bits of the story are revealed, which should hopefully provide extra atmosphere, rather than forcing you to turn your phone on at 3am to play.

Stranded also includes some features that are reminiscent of DS game Animal Crossing, in that you have to fish, hunt and grow your own food, with more than 40 different species of animals to boil, roast or poach discover.

We're also told you can also upgrade your weapons and tools to help you explore the island. (Weapons? So there are monsters after all.)

Stranded promises to be an absorbing adventure game. We've just got our copy, so click "Track It!" for our review early next week.
