Mixing up the basic match-3 mechanic with clean aesthetic and chill out electronica soundtrack, bitFLIP managed to do something different with the genre, and now developer TapMe and publisher Hands-on Mobile have taken it to the next level.

Just released for iPad, bitFLIP HD brings everything from the original in a Classic mode, plus a new Link-4 mode that mixes up block puzzles and match-3.

There's also a head-to-head on device multiplayer mode to go alongside the Bluetooth and wi-fi mode of bitFLIP.

Of course Facebook and Twitter are integrated for high scores, while TapMe's own in-game advertising system and social system iComplishments is also worth checking out.

Out now priced at 99c, €0.79 or 59p, you can check out how it plays in the following video.
