Zenith trailer teases a serene adventure inspired by Sword & Sworcery, out this spring
Stumble through nature
A four-person student team has sent in a quiet trailer for their upcoming mobile game Zenith. It'll be out this spring.
We don't know much about it right now outside of it being a 2D point-and-click adventure. I also spy block-pushing and a grapple hook so it must have platform elements too.
What can be seen is that it bears a fairly pleasant angular art style. It almost looks like flat origami.
Indeed, we're told that the focus here is on "atmosphere." And that this is inspired by sumptuous scenes in Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP and Monument Valley.
While a comparison to these games might be overdoing it at this point, the final scene in the trailer certainly leaves a good impression.
The main character walks stiffly against an azure sky, punctuated by a large yellow sun disc, across a gloomier snow scene and its crooked tree.
Once we know more about Zenith we'll ensure you hear about it first. For now, follow its Twitter account for updates.
