At GDC in San Francisco, we met up with dinosaur UK developer Jon Hare - his words, not ours - to see the latest version of his free-to-play iOS word game Word Explorer.

It's all about solving anagrams, often with clues and photos as your hints. For each successfully solved puzzle, you get cash, which you can spend on new boats and planes to explore more of the world.

We previously went hands-on with Word Explorer back in 2012, and also talked to Hare about free-to-play and success.

Hare, who is best known for Amiga greats like Sensible Soccer, Mega-Lo-Mania, and Cannon Fodder, says the game will (finally) be out in "three or four weeks". See it in action above.
