Eutechnyx is working on a Warhammer 40,000 lane defence game for iOS and Android

Eutechnyx has announced that it's collaborating with Games Workshop on a Warhammer 40,000-themed lane defence title for iOS and Android called Warhammer 40,000: Storm of Vengeance.

Details about the game are a little thin on the ground at the moment. We do know, however, that the focus of the game is one of the pivotal moments in the 40K universe. Yep, the Battle of Piscina IV.

You will be able to play as the 100 Dark Angel Space Marines (led by Grand Master Belial) and valiantly defend the planet. Or you can choose to play as the Ork hordes (led by Warlord Ghazghkull Thraka) and attempt to invade said planet.

With Space Hulk out for iPad in a couple of days and the first trailer for HeroCraft's Space Wolf-themed CCG released at the back end of last week, it's a good time for those with a penchant for miserable gothic futures and mobile gaming.

And with Warhammer Quest and Talisman: Prologue already available, the Games Workshop brand is pretty much everywhere you look on the App Store nowadays. Nearly.

Warhammer 40,000: Storm of Vengeance is slated for release in Q1 2014 for iOS and Android. We'll let you know as soon as we've got any more information about it.
