Listen up fans of surfing or sports games in general as True Axis has just released its latest free to play title – True Surf, and it sounds like it might worth a look.

True Surf is, surprising no-one, a surfing game. In a nice authenticity granting touch, it's being released in collaboration with Surfline and the World Surf League – two big names in the world of surfing.

True Axis has seemingly made great use of its fancy physics engine to bring the world's most ferocious waves to life, and you can expect to visit popular surfing destinations such as Hawaii, Australia, and South Africa.

You'll also be able to build up quite the collection of boards as your character hurtles toward career success. The visuals look fairly appealing and the added layer of authenticity could well make this the definitive surfing game on mobile.

So, you can head on over to the App Store now to nab this one for free. That being said, Android players will have to wait a little longer to chase those mavericks, whatever that's supposed to mean.
