We've known Tropico is on the way to mobile for a while and, like ROME: Total War, it'll be coming to iPad first. What models though? That's the big question, and Feral Interactive has just answered it.

If you have no idea what I'm on about, Tropico is a dictator simulator where you play as El Presidente, overseer and grand leader of the Caribbean island, Tropico. As you rule you'll keep an eye on the island's economy, its demands, and the health and happiness of its citizens. Of course, you can rule however you want to.

In earlier articles we've covered the game's price (£11.99/$11.99), in-depth gameplay, and new overlay options unique to this version. Since the game's been built from the ground up, we're very excited to see how it performs overall.

However, as Feral announced earlier today, older iPads won't be supported - only 2017 and up - and you'll need to be using iOS 12 with 3GB of free space for the installation. Here are the key devices:

  • iPad Pro 12.9-inch / 11-inch (3rd generation)
  • iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2nd generation)
  • iPad Pro 12.9-inch (1st generation)
  • iPad Pro 10.5-inch (2nd generation)
  • iPad Pro 9.7-inch (1st generation)
  • iPad (6th generation)
  • iPad (5th generation)
