Developer Takuji Fukumoto hasn't really gone through any effort to cover up the inspiration behind TravelShooting JP.

It's quite clearly his own take on SEGA's classic tunnel shooter Space Harrier.

The difference here is that you play a Japanese schoolgirl with a guitar-shaped gun. Why not?

Other than that, you're travelling across a bizarre version of Japan which has been lifted right out of the early computer graphics of the 1980s.

You use tilt or touch controls to fly the girl around the entire screen while she automatically shoots weird hostile geometry, robots, aliens, and dragons.

The boss of the second level is a shark that fires rings of bubbles at you.

While TravelShooting JP is free to download it does have some annoying adverts. So, if you can deal with that, feel free to download it on the App Store.
