If you like your puzzle games fiendish and fourth wall breaking, then it's a good bet that Trappped is going to be right up your street.

It's a game that's all about trying to free a game from inside a game by playing a game. It's games all the way down.

You're solving puzzles that involve moving coloured squares on to corresponding coloured blocks. Things start out simple, but soon you're crossing paths, latching the blocks together, and pulling out your hair in enjoyable frustration.

There are 53 levels for you to work your way through, and a soundtrack that's generated by your solutions to the puzzles.

A stark visual style and an engaging, interestingly told story about an imprisoned create an atmosphere that's different from most of the puzzle games you've played before.

Trappped is definitely worth some attention, and it's available from the App Store right now for iPad. It'll set you back just £1.99/$2.99, which is a pretty good deal in our books.
