Sandlot Games's action-strategy game
Tradewinds Legends is now going cheap on iPad.
The game sees you expanding your trade empire through the mediaeval Middle East using a mixture of naval strategy, magic, and good old capitalism.
Tradewinds Legends for iPhone performed disappointingly at review. It scored a reasonably respectable 6, but it could have been so much more, with solid gameplay let down by awkward controls.

Update: developer Sandlot Games has got on touch to point out that the iPad version of
Tradewinds Legends is a different game:
"Tradewinds Legends for iPhone has been removed from the App Store to address a bug [...] Tradewinds Legends for iPad is a completely separate entity which was developed specifically for the iPad. The controls, user interface, and game engine were all written for the iPad. To assert a connection between the iPhone version and the iPad version of the game, in terms of controls, is misleading."
Not having reviewed the iPad version, we're not in a position to comment on its controls. It's a fair cop.]
