Township - I think we've been here before

| Township

Township is, as you might expect from the name, a game about running your own town. It's very much in the Farmville-style. You plant and harvest crops, build houses, and trade what you collect for new materials.

It's presented with the usual cartoon aplomb. The cows you milk are podgy and cute, the townspeople are all adorable and short, and the houses sit comfortably at the twee end of the spectrum.

But there's nothing really new on show here. If you've played a casual town simulator in the last couple of years, then everything Township has to offer is going to be overwhelmingly familiar.

That's not the end of the world, and everything it does it does very well, but if you're looking for innovation in the genre you're better off looking elsewhere.

Harry used to be really good at Snake on the Nokia 5110. Apparently though, digital snake wrangling isn't a proper job, so now he writes words about games instead.
