In 2016 we learnt about a wicked little game called Tower Fortress. Though it's been more than a year since its announcement we'll hopefully see it before the end of the year if its new Steam trailer is anything to go by.

Tower Fortress is an action platformer which borrows elements from familiar classic platformers like Sonic the Hedgehog, Metroid, and Contra. Climbing the tower is your overall goal, but there's plenty of stuff that stands in your way. From monsters to obstacles and enemies, you've got to keep on your toes whenever you dare enter.

In the latest trailer we can see some real polish on the game. With its pretty, pixel graphics and classic enemy design, quirky boss fights, and cool upgrade system it just keeps looking better and better.

Hopefully the game'll look just a great and perform just as well on mobile, but we'll have to wait and see. Developer Keybol posted in the game's forum that we could be looking at a November release date, but didn't specify the platform. We'll keep you updated the more we know.
