Haven't you had enough of chopping and slicing fruit by now? How about you spill some blood for once in Touch of Death, huh?

It's time to move from the training dummy to the real thing.

The life of a skilled martial artist isn't an easy one. Your master's been slain by some dastardly twirps from an enemy clan; left him to die in your arms. Tradition has it that you must seek vengeance.

Fortune does smile upon you this week, though. Touch of Death is currently 50% off as a means to celebrate Shark Week - the developers felt it mandatory given their company name is "Sharkbomb Studios".

So, if you ever plan on delivering a swift revenge for your sensei's death then pick up Touch of Death before the week is out for £0.69 / $0.99.

Once you're ready to spill some blood, you're device will have you taking on endless waves of disrespectful ninja-wannabes with gesture-based swipes and dabs of the touchscreen.

When you're a learned student armed with Dim Mak, also known as the five-touch-heart-explosion-technique as Tarantino made famous in Kill Bill, combat with any fighter is over in just a couple of touches.

However, you'll be required to exercise precision and speed in order to survive against endless supply of enemies, exploding the hearts of each one.

The enemies come in thick and fast, with you having to match the zig-zags and multi-touch pokes that the screen dictates in order to take them down one at a time. The further you go in the more demanding the on-screen martial arts gestures become.

How long can you keep up the fast and deadly hands of a supreme martial artist for?

It's a bit of a shame there's nothing more than a survival mode to Touch of Death. But it's good, bloody fun for a short while, at least.

You can also compete on the leaderboards and earn yourself achievements in Touch of Death, which is available on the App Store and Google Play.

Dare we say that touching your device has never been quite this violent?
