Tobuscus Adventures was supposed to be out a long time ago after being funded on Indiegogo back in 2013. But it ran over budget and saw many delays. Still, it's here now, finally.
It's a tower-defense game based on the web comic of the same name. And so, yes, you play as popular YouTuber Tobuscus. Except he's a wizard now.
Being a "person of extremely low intelligence," Tobuscus has accidentally killed the only person who can stop the Wizard of Darkness. So now it's up to him to defend the Earth.
You do this by drawing shapes on the touchscreen to cast spells at the zombies, liches, and other evil creatures attacking Tobuscus's wizard tower.
You can also launch Tobuscus's dog Gryphon from a cannon to plant bombs amid hordes of zombies.
There are 20 different maps to do this across. And, as you progress, you'll get to upgrade the tower, your wizard gear, and learn new spells.
It also features animated cutscenes in the style of the Tobuscus Adventures web comic.
The game was initially supposed to be free but as it ran over budget it now costs money. You can purchase it for £3.99 / $4.99 on the App Store.
It should also be coming to Android soon.
