It's not just more belly sliding and big air, mind. Nope, as developer Andreas Illiger tweeted, these islands boast a brand new mechanic for the game: tunnels.
They can be tricky to get into, but landing in these tunnels provides you with a shortcut, usually through a large hill. Every second counts.
