Apple offering refunds to Australians after iPad wi-fi + 4G advertisement is deemed 'misleading'
|

Apple's new iPad has caused some controversy since it hit store shelves over in Australia due to the way the Cupertino-based manufacturer is marketing the new tablet.

Because the new iPad can't connect to Aussie telco Telstra's 4G network, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) believes that Apple's "iPad with wi-fi + 4G" promotion is incredibly misleading to customers Down Under.

Apple has agreed to clarify this issue on its website and allow customers who purchased the 4G-enabled iPad to seek a refund.

Yes, Apple will email all of its customers who eagerly snapped up its new iPad and allow them to claim a complete refund if they feel they were misled into buying the slate.

Apple is currently discussing the matter with the ACCC and will return to the Melbourne Federal Court later today.
