The Sims Mobile cheats and tips - Making the most of your hobbies

| The Sims Mobile

It’s a hard life being a Sim. Go here, do this, do that, have a green gem thing float over your head while you lose the ability to make decisions for yourself, nothing but stress to be honest.

But if you’re the puppet master, The Sims are an interesting thing to watch over. And just like what you don’t do in your real life, you can make your Sim learn skills and better themselves. How nice! If only it were that simple in real life.

From music, to cooking, writing and much more, there are a host of hobbies available to your sim, and these are the essential tips you need to make the most of your hobbies in The Sims Mobile. The Sims Mobile

Tools of the trade

To get started with any hobby, you’re going to need the required related furniture. Well, it’s not like you can get very far with learning guitar without a guitar, right?

You’ll be able to start the cooking hobby Now We’re Cooking at level 8 after buying an oven to actually kickstart your cooking career. Other hobbies are also unlocked from levelling up and getting furniture, including guitar, writing, yoga and piano.

All of them require you to level up, save for piano, which requires the Piano heirloom, which is hard enough to get without levelling…

You will also get bonus points for having non-essential extras in your home. For example, cooking equipment, like a mixer, give bonus points to the cooking hobby.

Just more work

Unfortunately, you won’t notice much difference between going to work and doing your hobbies. They play out in exactly the same way; pink stars allow you to do tasks to complete your “session” and you will level up your hobby.

There are risky events to complete, just as in your job, which will possibly result in completing your hobby faster.

Of course, you can always simply put your mobile down and let your Sims complete their hobby or career session by themselves. Which is definitely the best option, if you run out of energy.

Comfort and convenience

But you don’t want to run out of energy, and since you’re at home, you’ll be able to regain that energy a little bit more easily.

While at home, unlike in the work place, you can relax a bit and be yourself. Thank goodness for that, right? One of the many perks of getting stuff done at home, is that a quick shower, poop or power nap are only a few feet away.

All of these things do of course contribute to your energy, so you can keep going for longer. Much nicer than doing those long shifts at work.

Multi talented

You can’t have two hobbies at once. It’s physically impossible. Have you tried to play video games and listen to music at the same time? Physically impossible and no one can convince me otherwise.

But what you can do, is put one of your hobbies on hold while practising another. Once you’ve unlocked a second hobby, you can jump right in.

The only thing is, jumping in to a new hobby will put the old one on pause - luckily though, this doesn’t equate to quitting, and you can return at the skill level you left at at any point.

Plan for the future

Cooking is the easiest hobby to get into, but it certainly isn’t the only one. There are five hobbies to jump into in The Sims Mobile and as we’ve said, sticking to a hobby you’re unhappy with is senseless. Jump to whichever makes you feel best.

Here are the hobbies you can jump into and the level you need to be at…

  • Six-String Fling - Level 11
  • Now We’re Cooking - Level 8
  • Tales from the Script - Level 13
  • Yay for Vinyasas! - Level 17
  • Play it Again, Sim - Piano Heirloom
