While the Warhammer 40,000 universe might be labyrinthine and glum as all hell, the Horus Heresy novels that fill in some of the back story are pretty damn good.
Essentially they're high fantasy with laser guns. And now you can play your way through them thanks to Horus Heresy: Legions.

It's a card game that features characters from the series, and plays out a little bit like Hearthstone if it was designed by cybergoths.

You'll be playing through some of the scenarios that left the 40K canon in such an awful mess, all the while building up a powerful deck. There's loads going on behind the scenes too, like lodges you can join, and more.

If you like deck-builders, but you prefer your aesthetic all gothic ruins and bald men waving chainswords about, then you're definitely going to love this one.

We'll have a review up on TableTap tomorrow, but in the meantime you can grab the game from the App Store right now by clicking this link here.

Or you can click here to check out the hands-on preview we did with the game earlier in the year.
